Otherwise I like the board except it seems to be
groaning under load

Request TOS reconsideration for archives.
Many of us on the SCOX board are refugees from Yahoo's discussion board.
Yahoo's terms of service could be construed as allowing non-commercial archives
of the message boards.
Given the controverisl nature of SCOX's actions it
was part of the value of the Yahoo board that it was archived. Mike Green's badpenguins.org,
my own www.zensden.net and most importantly yah.warmcat.com gave great comfort and
certainty that what was said could be researched and recovered. And Andy Green (no
relation to Mike) yahoeuvre had some spectacular search and statistical tools built
into it and was used on several occasions to aid in research that the board considered
very significant.
Therefore I ask that you reconsider your User Agreement
to allow non-commercial archival and research tools for the posts on the SCOX message
board in particular. We are aware of the bandwidth and server load sensitivity issues
(all of us who built these archival tools are working pro's) and will be at pains
not to overtax your facilities.
I am posting a copy of this on the SCOX
board to let the others know of this request. Thank you for your attention.
