Subject: Goodbye Yahoo
I will probably not be back much to the new board.
I sent a feedback saying I will not ever click on a product link from Yahoo
and I was changing my home page to google.
Unlike many here, I was very loyal
to Yahoo. I used it almost exclusively for searches and tried to begin any product
purchase or investigation on Yahoo so they could get the revenue for my clicks.
No more.
I may be back from time to time to look in, but the new board is
so horrible that I no longer find it enjoyable to use.

This is so FUBAR'ed. I suppose in my heart of
hearts I knew they'd fuck this up too. I have already had to quit a half dozen auto
enthusiast mailing lists that had migrated to Y! over the last decade, due to stupid,
unannounced, unilateral changes made by the trunk monkeys of Yahoo. Complaints were
happily ignored - one Y! admin/flunky did post that I was stoopid or something,
which I believe to be an fair representation of the Y! corporate level of concern.
I mean, who are we to critique the distilled essence of perfection that flows from
the top of Mount Olympus?
So now they have fscked this up, sigh. I can't
make use of a thin column of text, trying to read text overwriting other text. All
in all, it looks like a 6th grade web project gone horribly awry. I have submitted
feedback but I have no doubts what-so-ever that it will never be read by a human.
The Yahoo PHBs don't need customers.
It's been fun, but not fun enough to
put up with this crap. I'm glad that I won't be around to put up with next year's
web boards that require Flash.
