Ack.

I guess it was costing Yahoo too much to run this stuff for the benefit it brought them, so they decided to kill it.

It takes far too much effort and time to sort things out in this new format.

Is there anywhere else we can go? I don't think I'll be staying here much longer.

"Is there anywhere else we can go? I don't think I'll be staying here much longer. "

We can always take over a newsgroup. Aren't a few SCO newsgroups taken over by blowing winds and tumblin' tumbleweeds?

The last post in comp.unix.sco.programmer was in _may_.

comp.unix.sco.misc gets about 10 messages a day.

comp.unix.sco.misc had a post sometime in April, and the local server has nothing prior to that nor later than that.

I agree that Y! message boards are now broken. I have sent yet more feedback, even though it falls upon deaf ears and blind eyes.

I'm sorry, I cannot abide the new format. It is a pile of shit.

Dammit. I guess we have to find a new place to go to. This piece of shit "design" is completely unuseable.

What a fucking waste!
So where do we go now???

If you have reverted to 'View as ... Message List' (see my earlier post) you then have a number of places you can click for each listed message.

You probably want to click on the 'xx minutes ago' link (really intuitive huh!) to view the most recent message. Experiment with the other options.

They could do with help from Google on human interface design, but I think there is a way of making it work acceptably.

Nope. I'm outa here. I'll keep checking to see if the format goes back to something sensible, but if it doesn't ...

Bye. It was lots of fun.

You said it, pal.

My feedback to Yaphooey:

"I don't know what moron or group of morons designed this crap excuse for a message board format or what idiot manager decided to implement it but you jerks have RUINED one of the best discussion set ups on the internet.

Screw you, Yahoo..."
