Subject: Reasons Conference Call is Early

SCO is holding this conference call well before they have to (Jan 31). Why?

Do they have good news? Certainly not. No rulings scheduled to go their way. No new buyers of the "not Linux, SCO IP licenses". Continued cash to lawyers.

The point is they do not have really bad news. SCO is expected to jump out of the DC case and move to appeal (SCO has filed no evidence for the Jan 7 hearing). That would be a bad stock pumping move. Kimball is polishing the IBM CC ruling, possibly really bad stuff.

I expect a lot of SCO chest puffing about expecting the Judges to favour SCO and being confident in their cases and their well paid lawyers, but being unable to comment any further. They can't comment much as they have probably been advised by the lawyers about the probably outcome and SHOULD NOT be making misleading statements in the conference call.

Look we cut UNIXware losses by firing everyone.
Look we "limited" legal fees by limiting it to basically all the cash we have (Why are the lawyers not on straight contingency??). Look we have more suckers for the (not Linux) SCO IP license.
Look we own UNIX and the world is worng.

Such a Keystone Cops comedy.
