So our wacky, local (lindon utah) linux company is suing IBM in what I can only
interpret as a very silly lawsuit. Besides simply praticing barratry (being
excessively litigious), why make such a scene?

ideas?

If your product sucks, hire a lawyer and sue everybody. Don't get me starte=
d on
SCO/Caldera. I think they are a worse company than Microsoft... atleast Mic=
rosoft
knows how to make money so they don't have to make it court... (they just g=
et taken
to court :-)

P.S. Ask any of my geeky friends: nothing fires me up more than SCO's lawsu=
it...

What Evan said. Nothing more needs to be said... Well I can't resist
anyway. Caldera (SCO) never "got it". They were doomed from the
beginning, but instead of sucking it up and admitting their own
stupidity they see it as their right to blame someone else and demand
payment for damages.

Or the courts do what they have done many times in the past, give someone a=

lot of money because of a patent "violation". I'm worried that this is the =
tip of
the iceberg with people using patents against Linux and other Open Source=

projects.

IBM might not be the only loser from this case...
