Hello Dear Friends:

Looks like Microsoft doesn't like what I have to say.

I have examined their servers and found all my post have been removed.

I have to say I am not surprised - Microsoft is losing the battle for the
server closet and it is starting to feel the heat on the desktop.

All this means is Linux is really winning! Yahoooooo

Here is a post I know you will love;

http://www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/01/09/17/010917opfoster.xml?0920tha
m

It's all about how Microsoft wants to supress freedom of speech.

Here are a couple of my favorite passages;

<quote>
We've seen the Redmond giant quietly start forcing large OEMs to provide
only recovery CDs for Windows, eliminate much of the free support it had
provided for applications, invoke its license terms to keep an independent
lab from publishing benchmarks, and harass whole sets of customers with
demands for "voluntary" software audits. It has also announced wholesale
changes to its volume licensing that appear ultimately to offer customers
fewer choices and higher costs.
</quote>

Here is an interesting article about Microsoft's benchmark disclosure
restrictions.

www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/01/04/23/010423opfoster.xml

Here is what some readers had to say;

<quote>
"As a longtime Microsoft supporter, I do not take umbrage very often at
Microsoft but the letter in InfoWorld raised hackles," wrote one reader.
"Suppressing unpleasant benchmarks by claiming a patently phony desire for
accuracy is childish and demeaning. This strong-arm enforcing of obscure and
buried details in massive licensing agreements gives valid ammo to your
detractors and weakens those of us defending you. When that enforcement is
intended to suppress exposure of clear faults in the product, it smacks of
corporate bullying of the kind you told the federal court that you did not
do. [Although] some benchmark testing may be invalid, you can handle those
easily by honest refutation."

"Your restrictive policy looks bad, smells bad, and does not serve your
purpose," wrote another Microsoft fan. "I would suggest that you work with
these publications to (1) provide a response, (2) offer to replicate the pro
cess yourselves and/or with a third party, if you feel you are being treated
unfairly, (3) ask the press ... to provide you with benchmarks as they are
developed to keep ahead of any problem. I love your work -- your P.R. has
suffered, but I believe your company truly benefits me."
</quote>

Does anybody who is a true Microsoft supporter have anything to say about
this attack on Freedom of Speech?

Can anything be a more egregious abuse of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of
the Press?

Microsoft is the enemy of free choice, free software and now free speech.

Hello Dear Friends:

It is pretty clear that my posts are being actively cancelled from the MSN
servers recently.

Does anyone want to fess up?

Just curious if the perpetrator has the courage to reveal themself and
debate their right to cancel my posts.

I am willing to bet it is someone who frequents this newgroup.

Do you have anything to add Sandi?

I may be able to find out on my own - I still have friends and associates at
Microsoft.

Hello Dear Friends:

Here I am again posting with the resolve of bringing hope and happiness into
your Microsoft controlled world.

Microsoft wishes to be like a brother, a Big Brother. It wishes to control
what computer desktop you use, what application software you use, how you
connect to the 'Net, what media you buy and what advertisments you are
witness to - but it is all for your own good.

Further, Microsoft wants to spare you the ordeal of hearing what others may
think. Microsoft doesn't wish to trouble you with dissenting opinions,
controversial thoughts and other rebellious disturbances.

If you feel discontent over the lack of a news service, the high failure
rate of web based email or the invasive quality of passport authentication -
you must not be allowed to disturb the tranquility of your fellow clients
and most definately you will not be permitted to spread disparaging comments
to the uninformed new user.

Yes dear friends, Microsoft wishes to make your trip into information
technology as profitable as possible with the least discomfort and pain as
is necessary.

So, if by chance you get to read this post before it is cancelled by
Microsoft drones from the MSN news servers - be advised that this post has
NOT been approved by the council of Microsoft Pimps, Panderers, Procurers,
Prostitutes and Pickpockets.

Thank Microsoft Drone:

I was just illustrating for some clients how Microsoft is stiffling freedom
of speech and you came through like a charm.

Bwahahahaha....

You just made Microsoft look like a pack of fools and I made a very
significant point with clients who regularly buy Microsoft products (you
know who you are). How about that!

Thanks for being so predicatable.

Hello Dear Friends:

I apologize for my absence but I have been actively employed these last two
days installing even more Linux KDE 2.2.1 desktops on W95 machines - it is
slow but sure and the results have been most promising.

I wish to thank Deb aka DM, Jim aka ~~, Val and many others for their
support and testing of "The Case of the Disappearing Posts".

8^)

A couple things to note; I believe the posts are being cancelled by a single
person
psso...@microsoft.com working with/for Microsoft to suppress disparaging
opinions. Microsoft has now established a firm policy concerning content
"that disparages Microsoft, MSN, MSNBC, Expedia, or their products or
services ..."

Microsoft is in violation of Usenet rules of conduct in it's (condoned)
actions of canceling the aforesaid posts.

Microsoft will be featured prominently in an online story being written
concerning the active suppression of free speech - am talking to a famous
news site about publishing same (sorry can't say more cause nothing firm
yet). If will post it here in any event.

I truly appreciate your continued support and thanks for the affirming
emails people.
