Thanks for the tip JVH but MSN Messenger still appears and goes online whenever I fire up Outlook Express - sigh. On the plus side, Messenger no longer starts up during reboots - which is a relief. Anybody know how to disable this ANNOYING feature? Best regards, Brian

BUT Starting Outlook Express still starts an instance of MSN Messenger that is not logged in BUT still there in my system tray. I have now deleted/removed MSN Messenger beccause it isn't working and Microsoft is full of bullshit about it being a routine upgrade. I have instead installed "Yahoo Messenger" and have found it a superior product right from the Get Go! (7) No running advertisements! (6) Superior setup options! (5) Doesn't start every time I start Outlook Express! (4) Invisible mode so I won't be interupted by idle family, friends and clients! (3) Includes many more services which I find quite handy - stock quotes are great! (2) No fear of being assimilated by the Microsoft Collective! and finally... (1) It works! I have already emailed my entire contact list and now have about half on my Yahoo Messenger friends list (can have different lists as well, Clients, Family, etc.) What can I say, Yahoo Rules & Microsoft Drools! Thanks for your help, Woody.
