I want to know where to download it from. I've seen some place I think are the sites, but I see TONS of files. I only want to download the necessary files to get Linux and XWindows. I have ethernet access so downloading big amounts doesn't take much time for me. If someone could tell me where to download it and the files I'll need to do so, I would be very appreciaitive. Thanks in Advance, Rob King

This saves you from having to copy a lot of stuff to floppy or spare hard drive partition in advance. There are some gotchas though. If you are interested in this method, e-mail me, and I will give you a list of pointers to get you started. Otherwise, be sure to read the _ENTIRE_ FTP installation instructions in the RedHat Users Guide - also available at ftp.redhat.com. Matt Gundry mjgundry(a)primenet.com

It also contains step by step instructions for installation - very handy for New Users. It is an unformatted DOS text requiring some sort of editor for page layout and printing. Any DOS wordprocessor, W3.11 Write or W95 WordPad will do nicely (although you can't manually set page breaks in WordPad - why did they leave that feature out???). I generally send it zipped (less than 9 k) with WinZip so if that doesn't work for you be sure to specify unzipped. For a total cost of "FREE FOR THE ASKING", I will send it to you by e-mail - just ask....
